Yep, my back is aching after planting a couple of rows of Charlotte. Sign of old age with me I'm afraid.
I used to be able to do gardening all day but now I am limited to a couple of hours then I need a lie down!

Mine all in bags on allotment. 19 bags. Only me and my husband to cater for so should be tatteid up to the eye balls all being well. I was worried allotments might be closed so instead of gradually earthing up bags i filled to top straight off. Yes i know ..then theres blight if they are not tended .But hey strange times. At present still can use allotment. Thank goodness.

My swift will be going in on Friday. Were going to be done last Friday but planting the new asparagus took far longer than I anticipated. Then I've got some Charlotte to go in a few weeks later I think.

2 bags of Rocket in and out of of top of their bags already for my super early earlies, another 7 bags each of foremost and homeguard.

Then we still somehow have to fit in 2 trays of maincrops which I don't normally grow, but got hubby to buy when I was virus panicking

Will have planted 14 charlottes in the plot by the end of today to add to the 13 I planted in bags up by the house a week or two ago. More to go in during the next two weeks.

                          No dig effort

My seed potatoes did eventually arrive, not very good quality but they will have to do. I’ve planted them the no dig way on my back lawn. Cardboard, old compost, spuds, lots more compost. Wooden edges.
Cannot upload picture as the site is rubbish.

I always try and plant mine on Good Friday. Some years its a bit too early, some a bit too late but it was a tip passed down from my grandfather so it's just something I've always done.

I only tend to do the one type of potato so it really is all or bust!
