Composting Glossy Paper?

It’s looking like recycling anything but specifically old mags and leaflets may be hit and miss at the moment. I already compost cardboard and ordinary paper but was wondering if it’s safe to add in glossy stuff - I’m assuming the inks would not be beneficial to the mix so what to do with the ever increasing heap of literature I’m amassing?

I think it's the ink on it that's the problem, can you burn it first(polluting the air a bit I know)……………...

Most printing inks nowadays use a vegetable based solvent like linseed or soya oil. The glossy coating is often china clay or chalk. I'd be more worried by the pollutants from passing traffic ending up in your veg patch.

That’s what I’ve been reading, I think I may give it a go in a small way and see what the worms think.
