  • Russet Potato query

Hi - my first posting! I've enjoyed reading through this forum. This is my first year of vegetable gardening have had mixed results but considering the weather I'm not surprised. I've certainly learned a lot.

My husband is a keen cook and after browing the internet, has asked me to grow a Russet potato. I can find Goldrush, Norkotah, Burbank varieties but all in the USA. Does anyone know if they can be bought in Britain or do they have different names here?

    thanks

Hi ruth, Welcome to the site. This link is from a company in Scotland, not sure what quantities they do. I noticed that they do the Russet Burbank.
there is a Telephone number on the contact page. They may be able to help you more.
    Regards
    Dave

Hi Ruth & welcome to the vine. I haven't heard of Russet varieties being sold by any of the big companies over here as I think they are mainly an American variety used to make French fries but maybe the Scottish company Dave (Vegnut) has listed will be able to help you. Good luck with the quest!
