  • Vertical growers

We’ve built some heavy duty supports for growing veg vertically at the ends of our raised beds.

I want to grow cucumbers and courgette vertically. Would this be recommended?

Cucumbers yes, I've not grown courgettes vertically and not sure they need it but your heavy duty supports would be great for squashes to grow vertically

I was toying with the idea of growing squashes and small pumpkins vertically.

We have heavy duty jute netting. It should take the weight of squashes.

You can get trailing courgettes that grow particularly well up a net. Squashes are successful too, we've grown Sweet Dumpling using football goalpost nets which kept them out of the way from slugs and saved ground space.

Will it be possible to run this courgette vertically on our frames: https://marshallsgarden.com/products...ybrid-10202510
