Best time to cut Comfrey

I�m eager to use my new Comfrey tube. When is the best time to cut Comfrey?

Obviously, I don�t want to destroy it by cutting it at the wrong time. I�m maybe thinking should I take bottomed leaves, top or just lop the whole lot off at ground level at a certain time and wait again for it to grow back.

If you cut it now you should get about four cuts before it stops growing this year.

As long as it's been in the grown for more than 1 year just chop it right down n the next few weeks - you should get at least one more cut from it later in the year, maybe two.
