My God, how things have changed - back in 2006 I wrote that I got my seeds from Dobies or Suttons.
Now I use Moles Seeds or Edwin Tuckers Commercial catalogue. I also use Tamar Organics.

I got quite a few last season from Chiltern Seeds although they are probably better for flowers - amazing selection and lovely people: Chiltern Seeds rare flower heirloom veg and herbs - Chiltern Seeds secure online shop

Also Suttons Seeds and I have been known to get some from Sarah Raven's catalogue. I'm a sucker for anything heritage or unusual so I have just bought a good few from the National Vegetable Society at the New Forest Show...well at 50p a pack I couldn't resist

i get all my seed from seemned, seemnemaailm, aiatarbed, seemnepood, lilleseemned, köögiviljaseemned its all one company working from Estonia you can translate most of the vegetables from russian to English am looking into getting seed potatoes from them . it all depends on the cost of delivery . cost of veg and flower seeds is usually 2 euro. once you master the web site it very easy to order seeds. payment for the seeds must be made by direct bank transfer but that's not much bother as there seeds are very cheap and very good, great crops and great germination rate

I tend to buy from T&M or Suttons for seeds, or from Marshalls / Dobies for plants and onion/potato sets.

Or stock up in Wyevale when they go down to half price...

I've been lazy this year and got all mine from the local garden centre. I'm going to go and get more stock during the half price period. Tatties will all be grown from seed next year and I've also harvested seed from peppers, an avocado (well, worth a shot!!), the broad beans, lemons (!), a chilli...get the idea it's going to be a cheapo year next year?!?

                Winter blues!

For me the best time to buy seeds is from Oct - Feb, looking for seeds and seeing how and what they grow into helps keep the 'winter blues' at bay, preparing for the new growing season. No amount of pennies saved can replace that.
I know just what you mean sbp. It seems to drag on forever and those seed catalogues look so cheerful. I force myself outside into the garden to check what winter flowering plants and shrubs are doing there thing. Otherwise I do a lot of tapestry work that just happens more than not to have a floral design. Last winter I worked on some lovely cushions with fabulous oriental lillies on last winter. I could almost smell their perfume. Well, they cheered me up.
