    I have read that the cloves are formed by the cold weather so guess frost isn't a problem. However, if you have had it wet they might have been spoiled by that. Haven't tried growing any yet and really must try soon.

      It's been wet, but I didn't think it was too wet. I might have a little dig about at the weekend...

      I use garlic all the time when I'm cooking so it makes sense to grow it - why I didn't do it this year I'll never know!

        Wondering much the same HeyWayne, I use masses of garlic - makes me laugh when people say how much they enjoyed the food but have declined the roast garlic as they don't eat the stuff - they will have consumed at least 2 cloves already hidden in other things!
