Grew All Year Round last year (I think) in old grow bags in an frost free greenhouse. None on the go at the moment but will probably plant some at the weekend in cells in the house for transplanting out in a bit. Worked well last year and the advantage being that although they grow very slowly, at least you don't have to worry about them bolting like you do in summer! Tried some under bell cloches as well last year but they didn't do very well at all.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I am growing Valdor, Winter Density and Winter Butterhead all in an unheated greenhouse. I put the butterhead seeds in modules in September and planted them into the border about 6 weeks ago. They are doing really well and I am picking leaves regularly. The Valdor went in a month later and they also are looking good but not yet ready for picking. I'm not so keen on the Density but they are growing OK.
