Seasprout, you should stop squeezing now! Mintys gone a funny colour!!!

Surely we'd all have got a 'whoops not available' email at some point if the spuds weren't coming? When I got my freebie ranunculous it clearly specified 'Vales Emerald: cost £0.00' on the form and no-one had biroed in 'haha, you're getting these instead'!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Ooooh we need some shallots - we grew French Delvad last year, very good. Also pigletwillies banana shallot, but not too many of them grew.

seasprout you're talking to yourself!? but yeah shallots are pretty easy to grow, just got to stop the blackbirds pulling them out thinking the tops are worms.

I'm hoping to pickle mine. have ordered variety Topper.

(Actually i'm having to shout.. currently enduring emergency electricity works out front... power went off during the washing up, and doing the laundry... had to crawl around in pitch black for 5 mins... groping for torch. power back on, but they are ripping up the street now. )

Yes we normally pickle the smallest of our crop, very yummy for Christmas.

No power came back on quite quickly, but concerned it could go at any time. Torch next to me.

Can anyone tell me, is soot good for the garden?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the garlic i ordered at the same time as my free spuds for 95p postage came this morning with a note saying that in order to qualify for the free spuds you have to order 6kg or more. nevermind - was worth a try.
