  • Tuber storage?

I've bought some Oca tubers from the Real Seed Co and should have some seed potatoes coming soon too but I'm a bit stumped on the best way to store them. I was thinking in the garden shed but the advice from TRS Co says the temps will fluctuate too much. I can't really think of anywhere on my property that the temps *don't* fluctuate though (except the fridge!?).

    Any advice gratefully received!

I usually keep mine in the porch - it's not heated, but heat from the house stops it getting too cold, whereas my shed often drops below freezing. The fridge'd probably be ok, if you have room??!!

      Hi Seahorse
Mine came through today as well - and as I was sitting here searching how to store them on t'internet I spot this.
I am going to leave mine by the front door - we don't have a porch. I would leave in the garage but even the washing liquid for the clothes is freezing up at the moment, so don't want to chance it. And I don't want to spoil them being that they sell out so fast.

The spuds when they arrive will go in the garage, I don't sorry about those as I cover in fleece and they go into little newspaper thingies that I make to hold them as they chit...it's the Oca I am worried about.

Thanks folks. I don't have a porch but we do have one unheated room upstairs, where I'd guess conditions would be similar. Might pop a couple in the fridge too and do a comarison.
