I'm very late to the party, probably don't have a hope of getting anything by the end of the competition, but it was an excuse to get some Purple Jalapeno seeds, which I've been wanting to grow since I found out they existed.
Of course, while ordering them, I tripped and fell and accidentally ordered several other seeds for veg, herbs, and a dogwood. Oops!

When did you plant yours Mrs D? Even my chillies planted in the first week of January (admitedly, not the jalapenos) are a long way off fruiting or even flowering at the mo although they are very healthy looking little plants. At the moment mine are all in the conservatory, mainly in 3" pots and I'm not expecting any fruit for months yet.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Bad luck about your plants Wayne. I pulled my Tam & Jalapeno last week without entering as they had to be moved as were both in the ground.
Both had good size fruit but maybe next year Julian will have something I've overwintered and I'll be ready earlier. - I think Big Jim was last years plant.
Here's one of my Tam.Attached FilesI love growing tomatoes.

I've got some of these seeds, but I dunno if I'm going to sow them this year - I'm over-run with chilli & pepper plants (not to mention tomatoes ) so I don't think I've got room for any more plants Even for the Chileman Challenge! Jalapeno Telica Seed

Its one I overwintered in the kitchen window, now has 2 fruits and about a dozen more flowers, I checked the rules and cant see anything saying you cant enter an overwintered plant, tho we have got some Jalapeno seedlings growing aswell, just in case our overwintered plant is disqualified!
Now at 6 cm long!!Blessings
