    Oooer missus!

I was going to ask if you said 'please, Bob'!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I'm the same as Flummery. I pay to support the HSL plus my annual donation (I'm fortunate I can do that, I know) and the seeds are just a bonus. One of the reasons I'm becoming a seed guardian is that it's another way of supporting this excellent project.

Mine arrived this morning too! I got my first choice, Climbing french cherokee trail of tears and bird's egg, dwarf french soldier (just love the little picture!) Pea latvian and lancashire lad (echoes of home?) and tomato tiger tom. I got a lucky dip too - dwarf french negritos - they could see I was into legumes in a big way!

Let us know what they send you as guardian Tony. It would be interesting to watch its progress!

            HSL Seed Orders

Just in case you are not aware - HSL had a post problem earlier in the year and if your seeds take an exceptional amount of time to arrive you should contact them.

It's great to see the support for the HSL. like most people who support the scheme I regard the seeds as a bonus. Would love to hear how people get on with their seeds later on in the season. Am going to sow some bronze arrow lettuce tomorrow as they are very tollorant of the cold.

I'll let people know how the Guardian thing goes.

I've also saved a lot of bean seeds from last year and with the others when they arrive, should have fun!

Hey hey! Mine have arrived too, first choice & everything
                    Pepper - Nardello
                    Tomato - Sub Arctic Plenty
                    Onion - Up-to-Date
                    Pea - Gladstone
                    Leek - Early Market
                    Carrot - White Belgium
And my lucky dip - Tomato Broad Ripple Yellow Currant, same as Hazel.
And because I joined late last year, I got a 'lucky dip' of seeds which were too late to sow, so I'm hoping they're still viable as they included several types of bean & pea, some tomatoes & some lettuce. Now I've just got to A) Aquire the next door plot so that I have room to grow them all... and B) Get to grips with saving my own seed!

Awaiting my seeds - hopefully Monday.
Still got Cherokee Trail of Tears. I had wrapped some up in 2006 as a present for SuperSprout but I didn't get to see her over that Christmas. They stayed wrapped up until last month when small person opened it.

Perhaps small person will help you sow the seeds in the warmer weather. Supersprout would have approved.

Me too. Came across some of her posts a while ago whilst doing research on something, read quite a few, then they developed in to messages about her illness then sudden passing. Quite sad. Very knowledgeable lady, greatly missed.

                                See Flummies Soldiers!

                                standing to attention.

A couple of my 'Soldier' french beans here - they aren't all so well marked but aren't they cute? Of course, they are Major Richard Sharpe played by Sean Bean with a comfortingly northern accent. (Or am I dreaming - again?!)
