    I grew it too. It died after a year, defeated by slugs, flea beetles and clay, before producing anything edible
    I may try again so am interested to see how it pans out for VC.

      I've merged the threads
      Will let you know how mine get on. Just checked and I have 4 little plants - still in modules. Some way to go before I'm eating caulis!

        I've also managed to grow walking stick kale for two years, and could probably have got three if it had a strong enough support, but its hard to net something that's 10 foot high! Once again, pigeons were its downfall.

          Some of my 2013 kales are still going strong though some have gone to seed this year http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ale_71170.html
          The very tall ones fell over, grew horizontally and then vertically again. The Walking stick would be a very bent affair
