  • Laom in a raised bed.

    Hi again,

I have just built a raised bed and shovelled three tons on Loam from Rolawn into it. The Ph is reading about 6 and it looks a lovely crmbly brown colour.

Now before I go and start shoving all my precious babies into it, is there anything I should know that will save me a ruined crop?

    Hints would be appreciated.

    Darren

There are no certainties in gardening. You do the best you can as you have done, then its Man against the elements. It's part of the thrill. Go for it. Get planting and let us know how you get on.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I'd give it some Blood fish & bone (about a handfull to the sq yard) Darren as it maynot have any nutrients in there.

Then give it some liquid feeds during the summer. Then in the autumn dig in some muck.
