  • I'm I too late......

    to plant overwintering onions.

I have loads still to plant, managed to plant a few rows in nov but I noticed in my shed I have loads left.

They will take up a lot of room so just want to check before I waste my time planting them and also taking up loads of space on my allotment.

    Cheers

Not sure but I bought some last week which I am going to stick in a corner when it stays dry long enough. They have two choices and if they haven't done anything impressive by the time I have other stuff to grow on, they can be turfed out.

You could plant them in pots indoors, quite close together. That way you'll be able to impress everyone with your early spring onions!

My autumn Garlic & Onions went in around late September. But i got some Spring sown ones to go in, they wont get planted until around April time. Better storage aparently for Spring sown Onions ??
