F1 you can rely on

I usually grow several F1 varieties, but as a GYO contributor I'm often sent free seeds so the high price isn't an issue, and I generally don't save seed (it's coming out of my ears already!). I would always grow marrow 'Badger Cross F1' though - have found it crops like nobody's business and I love the flavour. It's even stripy, so you can see the marrows easily amongst the leaves!

I'd definitely agree with Protea about sweetcorn too.
