I have a raised bed of garlic sown in November which is growing well. I have decided I want to move the bed elsewhere and so I am wondering how much harm will befall the garlic if I carefully move them to the bed next door ?

I moved mine a couple of years ago- just took a huge amount of soil ( spadeful) with each one so as not to disturb the roots.
They didn't even notice!!!!!

Thanks for the advice. I don't absolutely have to move them. I could wait till I have harvested them to carry out my plan which is to install a couple of IBCs to store water there. It is the best location on my plot for this. I expect I shall continue to mull this over as I have still to locate the IBCs in my area. It is essentially my garlic supply for the year so I dont want to lose it.
