You are not the only one Moggssue, me too! I hold my self so long and by 1 feb I felt so desperate to sow something (or anything) but sadly got severe flu for several days, got to postponed it till tomorrow when I felt better. Will be sowing chili/pepper, some brassica, spring onions, basils & aubergine (perhaps). I am not going for any beans (french) yet as it will be too early for them. I presume, I will be using all windowsill very soon, hopefully the weather improves!
    Happy sowing.

I always sow everything as late as possible, but I sowed some mega onions on Boxing day and I'm ordering my chillies and peppers today and will probably sow them in a heated propagator as soon as they arrive. I may start off some toms at the end of the month, but otherwise I'll leave everything until March at least.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Gardeners Question Time said you can sow Little Gem lettuce on a windowsill this week

I'm starting this week, parsnips, tomatoes, cucumber, things I can do at home.... any more ideas?

I have the perfect excuse though, I'll be a few days off giving birth by the end of March, if he isn't here by then that is, so I've got to be prepared Got my nuked loo rolls ready for when the parsnips get going!

The greenhouse will hopefully be up and running in the next couple of weeks, so will make the most of it! Can shuffle round to my hearts content, sowing leeks and making diagrams of where they need to go etc, just in case I can't do it!

ooooh, what else can I get going?????

Honestly, I get all the blame round here!

I plan to sow some peppers this weekend, and some leeks.

.....and maybe just have a look at a few cauli. And maybe some more spring onion. Or proper onion.

Tomatoes will wait till the end of Feb. Probably.

                  And maybe cabbage.....

                  NOW look what you've started!

Damn, I had a rough read thru this thread and these are the veggies someone is going to sow or has already sown these (oh no, panick attack):

                    Broad Beans, Peas, Mangetout
                    Aubergine, Chilli, Sweet Pepper, Tomato
                    Cauli, Cabbage
                    Leeks, Onion, Spring Onions
                    Parsnips, Carrot, Beetroot, Radish

For me, apart from the above, I think I'll also get on with Cucumber and French beans . Shoot me, shoot me down!

                      Grrrrr

I am here in the Sahara desert (warm enough for sowing and planting here now) reading these posts in frustration.
At home I have toms, onions, peppers, garlic and cucumbers all sown into pots and all of them growing currently. These will be moved into bigger pots when I return at the end of this month but still staying indoors unless its really warm.
When I get back I will be sowing early spuds (chitting in cool room currently) I have been told to try carrots in buckets so they will be in too, beetroot, salads and peas. All will be potted indoors and not moved outside until its warmer

We seems to encourage each other to sow early and earlier . I hope the sun is on our side or we will have to resow when things gone terribly leggy .

I haven't get to sow what i planned but will do it today or tomorrow (even), they are:
brassica group ( pak choy, Kai lain, mustard...), some chilies, spring onions, basils, perhaps also carrot...oh dear the list of wish goes on...no panic...slowly and steady... .

Just sowed cabbage, cauli, broccoli (is that calabrease, green heading), PSB and parsnips coz they take a LIFETIME to grow for decent harvesting. French bean by end of Feb for May harvest but that's like asking God to land on your lap!
