If they are indoors then you need to move them out to a heated greenhouse and start getting them in the best light possible so they don't get too leggy. Then just prick them out and pot them on as usual, harden them off slowly in March/April and plant out. I would think that you would have your first sprouts ready for August/September!
If you don't have a greenhouse you could try a coldframe - but frost protection while the plants are small is important, if the plants are coming from the house they will be tender.
If you started the plants in the greenhouse then as above but leave the heating or lack thereof alone.
Failing all the above, do what you can to ensure maximum light and cool (10deg C) temperatures to minimise the legy growth, and don't worry - you can always sow a new batch next month.

The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!
Great minds think alike girlie, but I only started mine last night, and I'm germinating them in a cold greenhouse, along with Red Cabbage and the like (for new Holly peeps maybe).
As Terry says, try and get them to coolest growing conditions 'sensibly' as they are hardy little Bu@@ers that don't like to grow warm at all. Keep them cool, and you'll keep them growing short, which is what you want.... Think 'toughen them up' honey.
