7 pod are from Trinidad and are quite rare! sometimes called 7 pot cos one chilli is enough for 7 pots of chilli!!!

Counted 110 germinated varieties! more waiting to be born! (got a bit of land and live in Spain!) and have a chilli addiction!!!!!

Ahh you're in the Alpujarras! We had a weeks holiday just above Lanjarron a few years ago, very nice. Have you got some of the Moorish irrigation system in your garden?

Look forward to seeing some pictures of your chillis growing. Do post a list of what you're growing sometime, if you've got them listed somewhere?

You know where I live!! yeah!! I know exactly where you mean If you say above Lanjarron! did you go horse riding up there? Thats where I get my muck from!

We do have a Moorish irrigation system, the water comes gushing in and we can direct it here there and everywhere! It's great!

        Pics to follow xx

Lol! I meant the chillis (just being nosey!), but I can imagine you're growing a shed-load of stuff!

We didn't go horse-riding, but I think I know the one you mean. Can't remember the name of the place, but it (and another) were owned by a Brit bloke who was doing some real estating 'on the side' too. Really liked Lanjarron, very Spanish, friendly. Loved the spa where the ol folk would go with their little woven handbaskets to collect their spa water with their 'prescriptions'.

The weather is horrible here again today - cold (11C), wet and windy!

Here are my various chillis waiting for the summer. Some grown from seed, some bought from Simpsons Seeds chilli event (still on today if you're near Longleat!). Hopefully I can save some seed from the more exotic varieties I bought and/or overwinter some too.

                                - here are later sown Black Hungarian (with 'purple' leaves) and two Brazilian Starfish, which can grow to 5'-6' - these have a way to go!

                                - aji cito (middle, 'lemon' flavoured heat - from seed), habenero trinidad seasoning (bottom, flavourful, not too hot - bought) and habenero scutaba (top, hot flavour - bought)

                                - red rocoto (furry leaved, black seeded, small hot, blocky chillis - bought)

                                - brazilian mini bonnet ('ufo-shaped' hot chilis, been overwintered - bought)

                                - the other chillis mostly from seed, top left purple jalapeno, biggest on right is cayenne
