...Took OH with me - he wasn't impressed by the Chilli 'Event' , was expecting more I think.... I just happy being anywhere that has plants/seeds for sale...
Ah yeah, me too. We went on Saturday, it was lovely weather and its in fab scenery. We had a wander round and bought some plants. I think it was gonna be more of an 'event' but there were clashes with Chelsea and something else, I think Matt said (over on chillisgalore forum). There are tasting 'events' held (toms & chillis) so they might be something to go to. Sorry if I mislead you into thinking there was lots, besides chillis/plants/seeds there.
I fancied a bulgarian carrot, but well you've got to be sensible some times - so next year it is!
what i wont be growing this year is Hot Lemon, this really is becoming my bogey variety, this is now the third year of trying and I can't get them past the two leaf stage. thought i had cracked it this year but on Saturday went to the GH and found my one and only Hot Lemon keeled over and on inspection the stem was covered in a white fungus. none of the other varieties are effected (he says with fingers, toes etc crossed) so thats it for another year
will try again next year, this will not beat me

There was no misleading - I wasn't expecting much given the weather anyway and am very happy with my purchases (got 2 more tomato plants - Brandywine & Green Zebra - and a load of seeds as well....!)

Lol! I forgot to admit that I'd sowed some Tesco sweet red pointy peppers! Its irresitable isn't it - you cut open the pepper and there's all those seeds!
Don't know whether they'll fruit this year, but its worth a go.
Hi ,
Got 'bird's eyes' that I have not only overwintered, but also moved house with.
I overwinter them on sunny windowsills, and even got ripe chilli's in winter?
Just got some seeds on swap(nigra's) that have sprouted,so I am really happy.
I will have some more bird eye seeds soon, and would love to swap for other varieties?
Regards.
We are growing a few different varieties, we've got Purple Tiger, Padron, Cayenne, Chinese Pot, Jalepeno, Orange Thai, Red Cherry, urm, I've lost track of what I've got ........
