I grew cucumbers last year, some in the greenhouse and some outside (indoor Telegraph, outdoor telegraph) and found they just shot up - the more I watered, the more they grew! I think they are a good easy crop, just make sure you like cucumbers! I got about 5 a week from my plants, yum!

              Mozart,

I grew Marketmore 76 cuke last year and they did great outside and so as lemon cuke. But really don't know if they are the best as it was my 1st year of growing cuke. Hope some other grape can share you their experience .

Mozart - try Burpless Tasty Green. Easy and productive. Give them something to climb up and tie them in now and again.

I grew Passandra which is a small (6-7in) cuke in the greenhouse in a 12in pot. Did very well - and lovely flavour too.
