onions in pots?

can u grow onions in pots? i have a few over wintering onions left and dont want my whole plot growing onions

anyone else done this? can thy be left outside?

Hi.

I do, and then infil during the year when spaces come free. As long as the pot is big enough they will be fine, a bit smaller than usual sometimes.

excellent news zazen999 - i will down the plot tomorrow planting them.

do you use compost straight from the bag or do you add anything to the compost?

I use compost on its own straight put of the bag.
