Just bought a kg of Franceline, from our local organic veg box grower.

They look like a very good salad spud, with red skins. I googled for some info and confusingly some suppliers say Franceline has yellow skins?

Anyone grown it before?

Sorry no idea but it sure sounds like a really fancy Frenchie potato, is it not? Don't think I've ever come across it before, so are you saving some for growing ?

Yeah if they taste good - gonna have some for tea tonight. I reckon they should be okay for seed as they're organic.

my Desiree that went in summer sow were exactly the same as those in the picture don't forget last year was very quick for spuds blight came early round hear and all spuds were small

A 1993 introduction from France (Nicola X Arka). Tubers are long/oval shallow eyes, smooth red skin,and have yellow flesh.

there only be desiree if you can bake.chip,mash,fry,boil ect and they still tast nice
