sowed peppers, chillies and tomatoes this weekend. hadn't realised it was time to get cracking on the brassicas until reading this thread. I'll get on to that this week hopefully.

the tomato seedings I sowed on the 24th of Jan (just out of curiosity) are doing really well. I repotted them as they were leggy and buried them and they are just getting their second sets of leaves.

I love love love this time of year :-)

      who is sowing what today

      Hi

Got a bargain mini polytunnel from our local garden centre so have sown mixed salad leaves, rocket, oak leaf lettuce, spring onions and red frills salad in it. Have never sown seeds this early outdoors but now with this magic tent (?!!) who knows - keen to get started and have lots of lovely new salads. Have also planted tumbling tom seeds (2 out of 3 germinated) and 3 gardners delight all germinated and some pepper seeds - these do try your patience but I'm sure they'll germinate soon.

Only thing actually sown was Kelvedon Wonder peas - straight into the ground. Hoping to do a few things for the windowsill during the week - salads and summer cabbages mainly, and maybe a few salads and spring onions into the ground next weekend too.
