Zazen999 - my OH is Canadian and every trip home for him includes a stock up of Tim Horton's coffee for me - he's never been stopped in 4 years of bringing back several big tins of coffee at a time, which surprises me no end!!

I think if they stopped me I would be in tatters; part of the fun of a visit stateside is eating cinnamon gum et al for the next 18 months until the next trip! Nobody in our house eats it either, so I can safely leave it around knowing it won't get swiped.

sorry shirl i forgot to say we're going to new york and staying in queens and luckily theres a mall just down the road from us. the suitcases could be a good idea(thanks for that)as theres five of us going
