Providing I can get some soil into a bucket (and I have to go and collect this soil as I only have clay) I will be getting my earlies in the day I get back home.
My main croppers wont be too long in after that either.
All that is dependant on me getting time off as well, as the Boss will no doubt have an enormous list of stuff she and the kids have broken whilst I've been away.

It must be global warming, Easter seems to be arriving earlier and earlier every year!

It's traditionally Paddy's Day for the planting in Ireland - always 17th March. We planted Paddy's weekend last year and had good crops (well, I thought so anyway for our first attempt).

Will probably plant around then this year (either Paddy's weekend or Easter weekend), depending on which weekend OH goes down to his mammy with the toddler (he's allowing me whole weekends to myself to write so that I get my thesis in on time at the end of April - just as well it's not too far off as it's causing havoc with attempts to get digging, planting etc! But far too close for comfort in terms of actually finishing writing stuff....).

            Hi

I have another bag to plant in the next holidays, in 5 weeks time.

I might also plant some odd/small ones in tubs.

I must admit, I thought of my spuds, when I saw the thread "veg suitable for freezing"

I have also had to bring my fruit bushes from Wilko's inside.
