You're not gonna get them to fruit inside though are you? (I mean I'm sure you can, but they would taste pap, surely.)

That's mighty impressive! Would be interesting to find out when you'll get your first tomato crop from that plant .

To be honest Manda I dont know how they will taste this is the first year I have had this equipment but I intend to grow some totally indoors and also grow some on, on the allotment so the flavour decision will come sometime in the summer.

          Cheers Chris

Chris Wish you would reply to me in pms
Almost done with building my 1st tester propagator
, Is big and isnt going to win any beauty pageants. But it should do . heres about it the 1st unit its a fogger/ very very fine water vapers. this is what iv read/told is real aeroponics I also put in a Ball valve so water never runs out . The 2nd part is semi aeroponics like most units you can buy ,The reson for not just using the mister unit is its prone to breaking down and 45min dry roots would kill my toms So set the pump- sprayers to on 5 min once an hour just to be safe . Anyway if i get time and find a place to put this il put my toms plants into it, really not sure how they are going to like getting ripped from the soil :_) .

                Hi Dave

Sorry for not replying yet, I havent even started on mine yet although I do have all the bits ready.
That looks cool and big, looks like your sprayers are working fine the only thing I have noticed is that if you get bits in the tank it doesnt really matter except when you add more water to the tank which stirs them up and then they block the filter on the pump so you have to clean it.

Get some plants going in it and be ready to sit and stare at them several times a day (you will really)

                Cheers Chris

Nps chris . I got some in today been running for the past 2 hours or so . But noticed 2 problems with this ( wouldnt of been one if i wasnt so tight and just got 2 tanks with lids ) ivi got loads of leaks ! the sprays not getting out but the fog is . kinda guessed it would >< with the bad jigsaw job i did on the top tray . Il have to get new tanks tomorrow as fogs going on all the electrics and the humidity in the shed will be off the scales soon

On the good note its working the roots are damp not getting Drowned ,The auto refills working , just the size and leaks to work on.

One thing I have noticed is that the plants initially droop when transfered to the aeroprop but they recover very quickly.

Me too still its dosnt have to cost much if you have most the bits already ,it's the running cost ... .. end of the day Just isnt worth it for veg ( unless your traped in a bomb shelter or stuck on a international space station Saying that it turns into a hobby and is kinda exciting seeing veg grow this way and trying new things.New to this myself but its somthing to play around with when weedings done and waiting for seedlings to show .

Id like to see the tests in a greenhouse without lights using soler pumps or very low watt pumps. Il have to give that a try somtime prob next year

                                Hi Dave

I have my lights on for 16 hours, the timer switches them on at 7 am and off at 11pm.

I hadnt noticed but there is another flower as well behind the one in the picture so thats two toms at least.

                                Cheers Chris
