If you look at the piccies it seems that the cuttings are pushed into the lids of empty pots and kept in the prop. Perhaps something similar could be done with clingfilm and yoghurt pots?

I presume 'the kit' is sold to grow cuttings of 'exotic' plants
as its very easy to take rosemary cuttings in soil.

I was feeling part of the scenery

Ask how much it cost first! I bet a re-mortgage is necessary!

The basic gubbins (without lamps) doesn't seem too pricey at all for a small one. Rather regret looking really, as I'd confidently expected it to be out of my price range!

Yep thats what I bought but dont forget you also then need nutrients to add to the water.

The grow lamp I am using is a 600w MH (blue spectrum) about 3.5 feet above the plants, if you are using an envirolite type lamp then it needs mounting just a few inches above the plants.

PS: The extreme root groth did shock me a little but hey I guess that some advertising facts are true which makes a change. And that shocks me more than the root growth.

                    Cheers Chris

I always thoght MH lamps gave off more red then blue spectrums and HPS are better for veging but still your pics prove its working .Them fluorescent Lamps do run very cool im keeping my one about 1 cm from tom,s atm
2 things about the tank does the water spray all the time ? and what lvl of nutrients do you use for the toms ? I do have an old EC conductivity meter laying about someplace

MH are blue light for vegging HPS are red light for flowering, I just followed the instruction on the bottle for the nutrients, the spayer in the aeroponic unit sprays all the time.

                        Cheers Chris

Well I had a visit today by the head of the local drugs squad...

Oh ok I rang him and asked him to come visit me so I could show him what I was growing (dont want the front door kicking in when they can come whenever they want). The reason being is that the grandparents of one of the kids I took on when I got married are complete and utter b******s and wouldnt hesitate to report that I am growing weed even though Im not, so I thought I would preempt them and call them myself.

Very nice chap actually even though he was built like a back yard toilet if you know what I mean, seemed happy enough and said he wasnt surprised I was using the equipment for veg as you get bigger better plants (although I guess he was talking about weed)

                          Cheers Chris

Another six days on since the last photo, and it has nearly doubled in size so much so that I had to hold it at arms length to get it to fit in the view finder on the camera.
I will be transfering it to the hydroponics system this weekend

                            Cheers Chris
