Linzer potatoes?

Its another 'what's my potato'!

Just been to the local organic veg grower and this time bought a kg of Linzer. I've just had a google for the spud name and it seems there's lots of linzer types. However I'm guessing this is Linzer Delicatess - has anyone ever grown it before? Thought I might try it in pots as it seems to grow lots of smaller spuds.

I grew it years ago. It's a lovely salad spud. Can't remember a lot about it - I was sent it when I'd ordered pink fir apple and they'd run out.

Just eaten these - for saying its Feb, they were in very good condition. They tasted very nice indeed, waxy with a slightly sweet edge. Yummy!!!

Hello - I'm a bit jealous that you have found these! Nothing so exotic appears in my local shops!

Anyway, I think you've found a good one there, because St Jamie Oliver recomends this variety in his latest book. Thought you'd like to know.

Would you like to try 5 or 6 diddy-widdy ones? You could grow them in a pot - we're going to. PM if you'd like to swap or send an SAE (they're only about 70g).

Haven't ever done this sort of thing on this site before - how do we go about doing this "securely"? We could do a straight swap - would you like a few Amandine to try, which were very nice last year? They are already here chitting. I'll happily send some.
