It's a special feed that I got when I got married - it's called "Neglect" - it's free and dead easy to use too !

What do you all use the chillies for. I use them in cooking but in very limited quantities - wimp or what. Do you make chillie oil (if so how) or what else do you do.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Just stick some chillies in a bottle of oil and leave them to infuse - dead simple and delish poured on pizzas.
By the way, does anyone know what height the GYO freebie peppers will grow to and what size pot I'll need to pot them on into when they are mature enough.

If you put them in oil, or just pickle them, dont forget to put a small slit in them to allow the pickle / oil to get right in and to let the air out or your pickles will spoil and the oil wont get all the good flavours out of the chillies.

Another way of preserving them is to dry them. Just thread them onto a strong thread via the stalk and put them somewhere to dry. I hang mine in the south facing window of my workshop.
