Gonna do a bit of pricking out of some of the chilli plants that were sown in January....some Black Scorpion Tongue (from a kind fellow on ChilliForums) and a couple of others from last years sowings.....Tomatoes probably into bigger pots, from their mushroom container.....and I'm sure I'll find some time to do some stuff in the garage with a quick beverage......

i've planted some radish under cloches already, and they are starting to come through! just needed to see something happening! most of my seeds have been grown indoors like some of the other grapes, but I'm sure I'll find something to sow in the kitchen watching the tv! might sow mange tout outside, but not sure if the weather will hold out....been snowing here today, not sure what the weekend holds!

Twas a lovely afternoon here, checked the forecast for the weekend and its due to Piddle down ALL WEEKEND So i nipped into the garden as soon as i finished work & planted my garlic that has been in pots for the last couple of months as their roots were starting to show through the bottom of the pots. Feel like the growning season has started now - hurrah!

I was! Popped up to lottie this morning in sunshine, and it almost immediately turned dark, cloudy and cold, and VERY VERY windy. Horrible weather. Now I'm back indoors, the sun has come out. I won't be fooled again though, I'm staying in with the new issue of Country Living.

it's blowing a hoolie here at present,so am going to put off any major outside work for another week.Tried to do some this morning but as soon as I clear the patch, the wind blows off leaves/pods from the enormous eucalyptus tree in the neighbours garden covering the ground. I think it is wiser to let it blow itself out and I can then collect all the rubbish afterwards and start to sow in peace.

I'm in SE London and have first earlies in pots outside, I've also planted nasturtium seeds (in a pot too) and (again in a pot) I have some summer flowering bulbs. I have a south facing sheltered garden though. I haven't planted any bulbs in the bed yet but will do so in about three weeks I hope. My daffs, in the bed have been blooming marvelously for two weeks already.

Am thinking about sowing some of my tomato seeds over the weekend. Have all my pepper seeds up and growing, also my cucumbers. they are all indoors in a heated conservatory.
Went to Aldi's and they were selling Petunia, Geranium, Busy Lizzie and trailing Lobelia as plug plants. 24 per pack for Euro 2.99. So spent the afternoon planting these into small pots to grow on. They also had loads of fruot trees and shrubs.

You will find yourself a partner,

carrots dont like their roots being disturbed and it also attracts root fly. ive sown mine directly outside and covered with plastic cloche.

i will be potting on my artichokes (I am obsessed with these little plants!) and sowing some tomatoes that chococlare kindly sent me. There is heaps to do at the lottie but if there weather is as bad as forecast then i will be staying in doors. Its Leicester Beer Festival this weekend anyway so there was never much chance of doing a great deal.

Having done the brassicas earlier this week, I will be concentrating on indoor sowings of tomatoes, more courgettes, summer squashes, sweet and chilli peppers. With some herbs as well to get me started. After that, I run out of windowsill space.

OH has promised to plant the potatoes next week as he is off (we planned to do it on saturday, but the fireworks are on Sat night on his route to Cork, so he's going tomorrow night instead with the toddler).

Oops, sorry, forgot to add that I hope to still get to the plot for an hour and sow some lettuce, spring onions and carrots direct into the ground under a plastic mini-tunnel.
