Most of the caulis I grew at home fell prey to slugs, snails, caterpillars and/or wood pigeons last season I'm determined to get some to an edible stage this year and have just bought this from my mate who has a junk shop:
It's a pet hutch (obviously) but won't it be fab for growing vulnerable crops in? A bit of copper tape round each leg should see off the slugs and snails and only the tiniest of birds and butterflies could get through the wire. The tray bit slides out for emptying/cleaning at the end of the season and the top and sides both open for harvesting.
Only a tenner too
