I built 7 rasied beds last week. I know the local timber merchant well as I've been renovating a house and he was here almost every week for a while.
I built mine out of fencing planks which came already treated. I called him and he cut them into 1.2m lengths for me which was great as my saw was on it's way out. They were delivered within the hour. In total it cost me £36 for 7 beds 1.2m X 1.2m and 30cm high, he even threw in posts cut to size for the corners. He said that he'd been inundated with people buying materials for raised beds this year.
