  • My sick cauliflowers!

Have photos now. Wondering if I overwatered them as they were outside for a bit in trays

Hello Gryfon, yes I think your cauliflower looks drowned. Were they out in the rain standing in a tray in a puddle. You may be able to salvage them. Knock them out of their posts and get rid of the sodden compost. If the roots look OK (not rotted) replant them in drier compost. Remove any rotted leaves. Hope this successful for you.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Thanks Alice. Yes they were in a tray for a while when we had all that rain! Some are fine but as you can see some aren't! I've so far found one with no roots left that must have rotted.

Voodoo...I think it was the last couple of weeks of April they got sowed, when I realised that everything needed sowing!!!

As Alice says, if the root system appears to be okay, then plant it out in drier compost and remove only the very worst affected leaves. Old Mother Nature has a way or sorting things out in the long haul - this might just include your cauli's.
