  • Sand Bags for Growing Spuds?

I've just checked my stock of empty compost bag and it seems I have only 3 bags (2 of 100 litres and 1 of 75 litres) . BUT have lots of sand bags, they're mighty tough but clear plastic, are these any good? I could try covering all around the sides to stop the potato from going green.

you could always put the sand bags inside black bin liners to stop the light.

Of course, that's a clever idea! Extra slug proofing too . Guess I won't be worrying about filling my garden with too many buckets.
