  • Back for my second year, and update on tea plants

So I'm ready for my second year, I've planned carefully and ordered my seeds.
EDIT: And about 50m of copper tape. Couldn't get hold of the stuff anywhere last year.

Mainly going for french beans, carrots and potatoes this year.

I've also got a full compost bin.

Some of you might remember I started some tea plants last year - they survived the winter very well and are now about 4-6 inches tall.

Technically about 3 years before you can start taking leaves off, but if they get big this year I might not be able to resist taking a couple.

I've always fancied growing my own tea, but an article in GYO put me off as it seemed quite complicated. Keep us posted, if you have any success I might give it a go after all.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I read that article. There doesn't seem to be too much information available on growing tea and preparing the leaves but I'm going to give it a go and see what happens.

I'm also starting Giant Sequoia and Californian Redwoods this year (or trying to).

                I'm growing them for bonsai.

My garden is a tiny patio.
