  • Monster Slug

Most nights I find it quite theraputic picking off slugs from my beloved seedlings but last night I found a monster that even I was scared of. Could it be my spinach is everything Popeye said it would be?
I've tried to attach a photo I hope it works.

Crikey - he's a bruiser and he's pinched your mobile phone!! I used to get them in my exceedingly damp bathroom in my flat in London...and then couldn't get the slime off my fingers where I'd picked them up and chucked them back out...Yik!! I'm pretty lucky with slugs - I think my chickens eat them - then again I may just be speaking to soon!

So what happened to Monster Slug - did you tackle him - or did he live to chomp another day??

They say the big black ones are less destructive than the small ones but I don't believe that! One of my photos of a 'whopper' featured on a website 'slug gallery' last year I think it was on pbi Bayer. They're all thugs, it must be what we feed them on!

Oh heck - I'll keep an eye out for him - but I'm not picking up the cab fare!
