leeks and parsnips

    Even if I fed our family of four with curry all summer we couldn't save enough loo rolls to keep us in parsnips for the winter!!

    Just cant see the point myself- life is too short. What is wrong with sowing the things?...one tip is to use sterilised compost to cover the drill as this stops capping and reduces the weed thing as they take a couple of weeks to germinate. presto if the conditions are good....parsnips. Another old trick is to sow radish along the same row to mark it.

      Im a little scared now!
      I just chucked 6 seeds in a 30 pot last year- with superb results!!! Was planning to do the same this year on a much larger scale- was it just pure luck i had???
