Some of my Potato haulms have gone mushy from the frost. Is their any chance of recovery?

Some of mine did and I now have new growth but it doesnt always work this way unfortunately and I suspect that I will have a reduced crop as well.
I suggest you get some fleece and cover them until all chance of frost has passed, thats what ive done and it seems to be working._____________
Cheers Chris
Beware Greeks bearing gifts, or have you already got a wooden horse?... hehe.

Best to keep them well covered until the frosts are over - earthing up or covering with straw/grass clippings etc. Or fleece if all else fails. They might come again - it's a waiting game.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

It's just the 1st earlies, they're not all mushy. I had them covered with clear plastic, but it rained and the water puddled in the plastic and must have chilled the haulms. I've cut away the mushy bits and their are still a few leaves that are ok, so hopefully they will recover. I wondered if I should dig up the seed potatoes of the ones that don't recover. Could the potatoes rot and encourage disease in the surviving potatoes?Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.
