what people think about eating well-washed spinach leaves if your crops has been visited by slugs, all my leaves were attached wehen smaller and so are slight deformed by slugs, i picked off several pounds in weight but couldn't find an unaffected leave. Is it green-manure or helathy food?

I think I'd eat it Adam, if it's well washed & you pick off any particularly chewed/brown parts it should be O.K. especially if you are going to cook it & not use for salads. I've picked nibbled bits off lettuce cabbage & all sorts & lived to tell the tale!Into every life a little rain must fall.
