[QUOTE=Cutecumber;200145]Fret not, Mrs B - many people on these forums have sown early and now have nowhere to put their seedlings because it's still too cold to plant.

I sowed my tomatoes in the house, then put them in the greenhouse (only heated at night) but brought them back into house as they didn't appear to be growing. Doing nicely now though.

I eagerly started lots of things off quite early in the house and not enough light so some are leggy, but hopefully won't make the same mistake next year. You live and learn.

So far I've planted peppers, aubergines, chillis, early peas, and I've just started off parsnips and broccoli. I've started a few 'sub arctic' toms but the rest won't go in for another week or two.

Its really tempting to plant everything at the earliest possible time shown on the seed pack, but that generally only applies to the south / people with greenhouses, of which I'm neither - and it just means you end up with loads of plants which are huge but can't be put outside!
