  • How many per growbag section/

    Hi,

Got some grow bags and plenty of small plants fighting for their turn so my question is-how many plants can I put in each of the smaller sections per growbag (3 sections per growbag)?

The veggies I have are runner beans (4 plants), sweet corn (3 plants at mo), radishes (4), sweet peas (8), peas (4), pepper (10), melons (10) and beetroot (8) onions (lots in pots-bought) and also carrots but they're going in a container.

How do I go about transplanting the small and large plants from a 4x6 seedtray? Do I pull them out or transfer the soil too? Bit worried cus I've got them looking lovely at this stage but don't want them dying on me!

    Cheers,

Hello Catbud, to transplant your seedlings to the growbags from the tray, if they are well spaced apart in the trays try and take compost with them and disturb as little as possible. You might be able to do this by lifting them out on a spoon. If they are a bit fankled together, Carefully ease everything out of the tray and lift the plants out individually.

You can put 3 peppers in a growbag. Not sure what you mean 4 radishes. it's not very many. You can sow your radish thinly over the grow bags. Sowing to eating is about 4 weeks.

Someone else will be along to advise on your other plants. Good luck and happy gardening. Isn't this just the weather for the job !

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
