I'd go with chilli, a couple of mine have got that kink in the leaf too. I am affriad that they are from a mixed pack I got a couple of years ago so cannot give a variety though.

Can't believe how many replies this got lol. I think the general consensus is that it is a pepper plant.

Well, as far as sneaky seeds go, this is quite likely as I am a bit of a chilli head.

So I will definitely keep it in the hope it does turn out to be a chilli.

Should i stake it as it is now about 8" tall?

It wouldn't hurt to stake it - they can get a bit top heavy.
