Aaaarghh, slugs!

This year, for the first time, I can crop one spear from each of my 10 asparagus crowns.

I have 4 buds showing, about 1" high. Just went out into the garden to count them again and one of the 4 has been severely grazed

Nemaslug arrived today, the copper pipes are going on tomorrow pm, and the little pests have got in early - they are ignoring my psb so I assumed they were still sleeping. If they were sleeping, the heady aroma of my beloved 'gus has woken them up.

So, I've got that off my chest, and if there are other "shoot the slug" threads already going I apologise - just needed to rant.

Lets hope for a nice hot summer this year otherwise we are going to be over run with the things. We had a wet mild summer last year and a mild winter all are very favourable for slugs.
