I've been digging over my beds and sifting on some of my homemade compost (which I must say has turned out very well! I'm very pleased with it.) I turn over the ground with a fork, sift a layer of compost and then use a 'twisty fork' to dig it in.
My question is, how much should I be putting on? I've got an enormous amount of it, and 2 beds full already of onions and potatoes. Can I put too much on?
Also, it has turned out well, as I think I said earlier crumbly and moist - can I use it as potting compost, do you think?
many thanks, I'm sure there are plenty of compost gurus on here who can help.
