I am wanting to try to grow the longest runner bean, any ideas on the best choice, cannot get too hard, must soft and very long........competition on our site lol............

There is a variety called yard long i think .
But a tip for growing nice long beans is to slope the wigwams of canes with a good slope on so as the bean hangs in freespace and not tangled round the foliage

I grew Enorma last year. They were huge but they were not great to eat.
