Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good HOT radish? I've tried a few of the old favourites in the past, French breakfast etc. but just can't find a good, hot crunchy one. Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

I love radishes and also like hot ones, I found that when I left radishes(Globe & French Breakfast) in the ground for longer than required, they became hotter than when pulling them from the ground when you should. I don't know a brand that is hotter though, leaving them longer works for me.

I grew a really hot one last year, seeds were from Lidl - the name escapes me. It was big (carrot size) and really spicy. I'll try and look the variety up for you, but have a look in Lidl if you have one.

We have tried a few and we eventually stuck to an old favourite called Sparkler 3.

We just love them and they grow so fast too.

The kids love to pull them straight out the ground, brush the dirt off and eat then lol.

Thanks to you all for the advice.
The problem with leaving them too long of course Essex boys, is that if you leave them just a bit toooo long, they go woody.
I'll give sparkler 3 a try, Mike and Louise.
Two sheds, I've got a Lidl just up the road (about 10 miles away in King's Lynn) so I'll shoot up there tomorrow for a look round.
          Thanks for the help.
