Hi All,
Does anyone know how to grow and elderflower bush? I'm thinking takeing a cutting from one- how easy is this and how do i do it? If not i supose it must be possible to buy one somewhere? any one any ideas?

Hello Country Girl, I'm not really sure what you are asking here. Elder is a very common plant and you can buy it anywhere - B & Q, Dobbies, Woolworths or pinch a bit from your neighbour. Once you have it you can grow it as a tree or prune it down into a bush - or sell it at the church fair - it seeds all over the place. I like it myself. The leaves and flowers are very decorative for no effort and the birds love the berries. Sorry if this is not helpful. Look in the hedgerows for a seedling under an adult tree and dig up the seedling tree. In the wild they are prolific and most people have trouble getting rid of them rather than getting one to grow.

Thanks for the offer, let me get back to you on that one, i am going to have a hunt for some this weekend. If i cant find any then yes of course i will pay postage for you to send me some... It is everywhere but it always seems to be on the side of busy main roads or in peoples gardens but im going on a back lane tour to look for some. I'll keep you posted.,
