  • Tomato Flowers Dying

Wondering if anyone can help. Am growing 'bush' tomatoes in large pots in a mini-greenhouse - some of the flowers are dying off but no tomatoes seem to be forming - am just wondering what I am doing wrong!?
    Any advice gratefully received!

If the flowers are dropping, then it could be caused by the atmosphere being to dry in your greenhouse for pollination- you can fix this by shaking the flower trusses and/or misting them.

This also happened on a few of mine earlier in the season..

    Hope this helps....!

Thanks Mycorrhizal, I have 'gently shook' the mini-greenhouse every now and then but haven't tried misting them! Will try it and see - the flowers haven't dropped yet, they are still on the plant but dying
      Cheers!

Hi - also recent very hot weather may have made the pollen sterile. There's no easy way round this, I have lost quite a few flowers over the last 10 days despite damping and disturbing the trusses everyday. Much better weather for fruit set now!
